The third thing we noticed about the resurrection of Jesus is that, when a person is joined to Jesus in faith, this amazing resurrection becomes an invigorating force in the believer’s life. In Romans 6:4 we read this:
We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
This “newness of life” that Paul speaks of is spiritual in nature, our hearts and our minds actually being quickened unto God is some fresh and amazing way. At Lewis Lake we invite people to come to Jesus and experience the New Birth, the New Life and a New Future. This New Life we are talking about is not simply our own efforts to imitate Jesus in some way, but it is a new energy that flows into our souls from the resurrection of Jesus.
No one has probably ever told you that the Rez. of Jesus infuses a newness into your day to day living.
But we all know about Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
– Why is this verse true?
We all know about John 15:5 – “I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, it is he that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
– how can this verse be true?
Because the Rez. of Jesus is sending out shockwaves of spiritual energy, infusing your inner being, and turning on something new in you!
– This is why the Rez. of Jesus is Invigorating!
